Curricular Activities
The school has a wide range of co-curricular and extra curricular activities throughout the entire academic session.
Co-curricular Activities
Various competitions are conducted in the school on Fridays in CO- CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES CLASSES (C.C.A classes) such as :
Group Dance, Singing, Group Song, Debate, Essay Writing, Story Telling Elocution, Recitation, Quiz, Best Out Of Waste, Drawing, Card Making. Vegetable Painting, Clay Modelling, Kho Kho, Football, Cricket, Badminton, Volley Ball, Skit.

Various extra-curricular activities are conducted throughout the year which are:
Community Outreach
Reaching the community and strengthening the bond is the ultimate motto of community outreach. Various programmes like traffic control, visiting old age home and homes for the poor and destitute are arranged every year which develops sharing and we feeling and makes responsible citizens. It helps in good citizen-making.
Excursion
To break the boredom of class- confinement, students are taken out every year for an excursion. Expert teachers help the students to attain knowledge on subjects.
Exhibition And Book Fair
Every fair has its beauty, but books are our treasures. To develop the reading habit, book fair is arranged every year on saraswati puja day. Parents and students tie up their hands in book selection.
Fancy Dress Competition
On this day, students come in colourful attire to school. Students get a break from the everyday school uniform and get a chance to show their fancy outfits in this competition. It is a fun competition among the students.
Annual Function
Every child carries possibilities. The school annual function is the platform that nourishes and cultivates these possibilities and help in making them future performer who will play a leading role in different segments of culture in future india and abroad. The seed of talent is nurtured with care from itself.
Sports, Indoor And Outdoor Games
SDS provides ample opportunities for sports. It is an essential element in overall development. Trained physical education teachers explore the special talents of students.

Days which are observed in school: rabindra jayanti, yoga day, independence day, teacher's day, children’s day, annual function, swami vivekananda’s birthday, netaji’s birthday, annual sports day, republic day, and saraswati puja.
